With the AIADMK chief Jayalalithaa leading in 141 seats of Tamil Nadu's 234 seats, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter to share that he had called the AIADMK chief to extend his wishes on her party's victory.
Had a telephone conversation with Jayalalithaa ji and congratulated her on her victory. Also conveyed my best wishes to her. @AIADMKOfficial

Meanwhile, DMK-Congress is leading in 81 seats.
The Bharatiya Janata Party is leading in 3 seats. Also, People's Welfare Front (PWF) led by actor-turned-politician Vijaykanth is leading in 2 seats.
However, supporters from both parties have started celebrating their respective leads. While security arrangements are being made to handle the crowds outside Jayalalithaa's house, DMK supporters are celebrating outside the DMK headquarters, still confident of retaining Tamil Nadu.
Voting for Aravakurichi and Thanjavur constituency has been deferred to 23 May.
